La Vela Classic was modeled on the early Art Deco Indochinese design popular in the early 20th Century. 28 expertly crafted cabins, including Deluxe and Suite, are arranged over two decks, leaving the upper deck for the elegant dining room, above which is the stylishly furnished sundeck. The cabins reflect the sophistication of the roaring 20s with a stylish Art Deco interior design concept. La Vela Classic cabins have en-suite bathrooms, a cozy wooden and bamboo interior, and high quality luxury beds.
La Vela Premium has been designed with today’s luxury world traveller at the heart of its concept. The vessel houses just 21 stunning cabins organized and crafted according to contemporary design trends, and include both Premium Cabins as well as Premium Balcony Cabins. Offering a premium experience that is reflected in the name, many of the La Vela Premium cabins have personal balconies offering your own private outside space in Ha Long Bay. All cabins take style and comfort to a whole new level, with spacious, beautifully designed interior spaces.
Day 1: Hanoi/ Ha Long Bay:
At 8:00 you’ll leave for Ha Long Bay, is known for its emerald waters and thousands of towering limestone islands topped by rainforests and spectacular seascape of limestone pillars. At 12:00 you’ll embark at Tuan Chau Island Whalf. Upon boarding you are greeted with a welcome drink and gather in the dining room for a comprehensive safety and boat orientation briefing followed by itinerary details.
After the briefing and check in we have a bit of free time till lunch is served at 1:00pm. During lunch you’ll pass by islets, with thousands of extraordinarily shaped limestone islands, considered by the Vietnamese to be heaven on the earth. After lunch, you’ll explore Sung Sot Cave, hike up and down 600 steps to the magnificent limestone formations of the biggest and most marvelous cave in Ha Long Bay.
At 15:00, you’ll be back to the vessel and continue sailing. You can enjoy your relaxing time aboard, among the magnificence of the Heritage Site. A wide range of fine wine or spirits are served in the open-air bar on the sundeck. Then, you will enjoy the cooking demonstration with the Chef to discover the Vietnamese cuisine of traditional spring rolls. Dinner will be served onboard at 19:00. In the evening you will be free at your leisure, or enjoy the Movie Night, or join the Squid fishing activity (weather permit).
Day 2: Ha Long Bay/ Hanoi:
You’ll wake up early to enjoy the stunning sunrise on the Bay. Begin a new day with a Tai Chi session on the sundeck. At 7:00 your Coffee & tea with assorted homemade pastries will be served onboard in the fresh air and peaceful beauty of the Bay. You’ll visit Titop Island and can take part in an array of exciting activities: swimming, kayaking, and trekking. Then, you’ll be back on board; have your International breakfast and it’s time for final packing and freshening up. From the dock you‘ll be transferred back to Hanoi; you’ll arrive in late afternoon and spend the night in Hanoi.
