Chau Doc, a transit point to Cambodia, is located in the northwest part of the Mekong Delta, about 250 km west of Ho Chi Minh City and about 120 km from Can Tho City.
All tourists who want to visit Vietnam’s Mekong Delta and continue the trip to Phnom Penh without coming back to Saigon are highly recommended to stay at least one night in Chau Doc.
