In Con Dao, local people worship the most sacred women as holy women, which are Miss Phi Yen and national hero Vo Thi Sau.
This temple is very sacred to the people of the island and it is associated with a tragic story of beautiful and talented women, rich in patriotism.
Every year, on the 10th day or the 18th day of the lunar month, Con Dao people celebrate the ceremony and often make vegetarian meals in remembrance of her.
For the people on the island, the shrine is very cherished, hence the people worship and treat her as the guardian of the village.
