Shanshui Beach is China Beach, located 30 kilometers north of Haiyun Ridge. 

China Beach has deep blue water and fine white sand, and is not damaged by pollution, which is known as the Gold Coast of Vietnam

China Beach was recognized by UNESCO as one of the six fine sand beaches in the world in 1995. 

European and American tourists regard Da Nang and Chinese beaches as tourist destinations comparable to Indonesia's Bali.

China Beach became well known for the Hollywood film "Good Morning Vietnam" and the American dramatic television series "China Beach". 

The ABC TV drama aired for four seasons, from 1988 to 1991.
Water sports activities are plentiful and it can be very crowded on weekends and holidays. 

The Da Nang coastline stretches 30 kilometres long. It is known for its calm, cool waters and is also popular for fishing, water skiing, diving and sailing.

The best time to swim is from April to July, when the sea is at its calmest. 

At other times, the water may be rough. Lifeguards keep only a few parts of the beach monitoring. 

Surfing is good from around mid-September to December.

Nowadays there are also golf courses, private villas and about 150 resorts along the coastline. 

Most offer luxurious spa treatments, Thai Chi, yoga and reiki. Other resorts are also therapies that will spoil you. 

Still other resorts look on the outside beautiful. Each resort has something to offer the tourist.

Guests enjoy comfortable, luxurious rooms, and there are opportunities for diving, snorkelling, windsurfing, jet skiing. 

There are relaxing activities such as volleyball or tennis in extensive gardens of the resort and on rainy days you can stay in the clubhouse and play table tennis or video games.
